Listen First.

It is very easy to anticipate what our spouses will do and say after spending years together. We start expecting certain things from them without question. This is definitely a common behavior and rightfully so..however if your not careful this approach can lead us to begin taking one another for granted and missing out on those spontaneous, creative, unique attributes they may have had hidden or suppressed. In a addition, everyday is a new day with new opportunities to learn something new about your spouse. We all change and it is important to allow this growth to happen amongst one another naturally. We learn a lot more by being silent long enough to look and listen. :-)

-God Bless
